Research says Brain Activity of Autistic kids display Unique Patterns
The brain areas that have been associated with social communication and interaction are referred to as “Social brain area”. (Middle temporal gyrus, amygdala fusiform gyrus). Social brain areas play a pivotal role in social cognition and interaction. And abnormal activities in these areas are associated with clinical manifestation in ASD.
Language processing impairments in ASD have heterogeneous range from absence of communication to high order communication such as: – pragmatic language deficits. Several studies proposed that aberrant activations in the Broca’s area and Wernicke’s area may play a critical role in impaired language processing in ASD.
