What is Physiotherapy?
Socialization is essentially the process of teaching a human being how to live in a world with other human beings. It starts at birth withholding, eye contact, babbling & speech and continues for the rest of our lives. Whether we’re hanging out with friends, going to school, working, playing, reading or watching TV, playing sports, singing, eating. We are experiencing some aspect of socialization.
Our Physiotherapists work with kids who are diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Down’s syndrome, Developmental Coordination Disorder and Autism. These kids may have difficulties in balance, coordination, movement, gait patterns, increased/decreased muscle tone and muscle strength. They evaluate and provide treatment addressing these issues as well as to achieve age appropriate developmental motor milestones.
Various approaches, techniques and activities are implemented in the treatment sessions to enable them to improve their functional and performance levels thereby improving their quality of life. They also collaborate with other professionals providing recommendations for the betterment of the child.
