The biggest team in India with a staff team of 68 professionals in the child developmental field and 205 children from 26 different countries. Jewel has the first full-fledged pediatric occupational therapy department in Kerala on par with international standards.

Autism day observance
World autism awareness day is on April 2nd as a part of that Jewel Autism Centre observed this year’s World Autism awareness day on 28th March 2019. Fr. Davis Chirammel (Chairman Kidney Federation of India) was invited as the chief guest.
On 28th March around 300 people from different aspects of society run through Kottayam City to spread awareness and to reduce the stigma that exists among the general public about children with autism.

Observance of Autism awareness day was started with an Autism awareness relay at Nehru Stadium Nagambadam. College students and professionals in different domains participated in the event. Our Joint Director Dr. Jency Blesson handed over the fire baton to the contestant and the relay was started. The relay came to an end when the last contestant handed over the fire baton to our Honourable director Dr. Jameson Samuel. Director Dr. Jameson Samuel handed over the fire baton to our chief guest Fr. Davis Chirammel and he lit up the main fire.
The human form was the next event. It was performed by students from Baselius College Kottayam. It contains four shapes which were formed by the participants according to the voice-over played. This program contains a message to mainstream autistic kids in society.
After the human formation, Dr. Jameson Samuel Flagged off the Autism Awareness Mini marathon. College students and general people run with placards and posters to spread autism awareness.
The mini Marathon was followed by a flash mob performed by the Social Work Dept. of BCM College Kottayam.
The staff team of Jewel Autism Centre performed a musical drama regarding the importance of therapy in Autism.
In order to spread awareness of autism, Jewel Autism Centre along with the Social work dept. of BCM College, Baselius College NSS unit, Mall of Joy, and law college lighten up the mind of common people.
